lyrics
tentacles arise from the depths of the morass. wrapping around you. making you choke. letting your head explode. said a father to his spawn: “take care! won’t you go too far! legends ‘bout creepy creatures of the swamp may be true!” s.m.ø.d. behind the foggy clouds. down the moor. a dark force lurks under the surface. behind the foggy clouds. down the moor. swamp monsters will rise to kill you. the muddy green. they come to kill. swamp monsters øf death. killing babys, smoking meth. they muddy green they come till kill you. they rise to kill. desperate tries to escape. desperate cries. it’s far too late. while your eyes are red of blood. your lungs get filled with mud. s.m.ø.d.
It's a MONSTER! Deep and slow riffing & double bass attack: Reminds at old Bolt Thrower, but with own sound and own style- I love this bastard. Igor Asambosam
One of the best black metal bands of the last 8 years, which means they're beyond the boring tropes of the label. Intelligent and innovative with music geared towards the emotive ends of the work, not an adornment of scene badges or theatrical misanthropy. stevstemac
The UK four-piece summon the ghosts of metal past to create an unsparing album that's unmistakably contemporary. Bandcamp Album of the Day Jun 30, 2022
The Alberta crushers hold tight to their rank, astral-gazing grindcore, staring down abyssal torment all the while. Bandcamp Album of the Day Mar 31, 2020
"Curse These Metal Hands" parlays the UK bands' chemistry into a record which—for all its tinnitus-inducing ferocity and elegiac arrangements—practically drips with transcendent joy. Bandcamp Album of the Day Aug 19, 2019
While Ofte jeg drømmer mig død will most likely always be my favourite Afsky album (being one ov my favourite albums in general), Om hundrede år ticks all the boxes I hoped it would: the calm and simultaneously depressing folk elements are there; the wailing screams of a forlorn spirit, forced to eternally wander the woods (apt comparison, deadpunk!); the harsh, bitterly cold guitar riffs and the ultimate realisation of life, death and our inevitable undoing. Exactly what I want. Recommended! David Fischer
